Just a small note,
There are people out there (I am one) who find “retard” quite offensive. Having a disabled child, I’m quite sensitive to it. if you want to make examples to post, could you perhaps find another image?

This typically means that you supplied a bad image to the Image widget (more likely than not, the image was not found).

Yes, it’s separate. However, it relies on stuff from 2.5. Like improvements to VideoTexture, blf, and the KX_Scene.post_draw callback.

Haven’t tested yet, but soooooo hope it going to make it into blender,
if possible would be wonderful for there to be even a new 2.49[x] release
with this for the GE summer comp, but what with the GSoC you probably don’t have the time…
